ORANGE HOUSE TOPS AT NEVIS ACADEMY
Thursday 2nd March was a significant day for the teachers and students at the Nevis Academy.
On that day, the school held its annual Sports meet, under the distinguished patronage of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Byron.
The event was held at the Bath Village playing field and quite a large number of spectators were on hand to witness the event, which commenced with the usual march past of the houses.
Thereafter the athletes competed vigorously on the track and such was the hype and excitement that many parents and even teachers were constantly asked to desist from running alongside the athletes and getting onto the track in the process.
The athletes featured in the 400 meters; 800; 200; 100; 4X100 and 4X400 meters events.
At the end of the day, Orange house came out as champions

GREEN DOMINATES THE SCENE AT IWPS
The Ivor Walters Primary school, sent out a strong message of Friday 3rd March. Based on the performances on the track, at their annual sports meet, the athletes look impressively ready for the grand Interprimary event on April 5th.
The meet was held at the new Brown Hill recreation grounds, under the patronage of the hard working Errol JABAL Tyson.
After the march past of houses and the inspection by the patron, Sports officer and headmistress, the athletes competed fiercely in the 400 meters; 800; 200; 100; 4X100 and 4X400 meters.
There was one incident when one athlete gave the baton to an individual on another house and another athlete took a hard spill and had to be stretchered off, but quite apart from that, the huge spectatorship was thrilled for the entirety of the afternoon.
